About Heart and Mind

Heart and Mind Consulting was founded by Jody Montgomery, a parent and former elementary and middle school teacher. Jody has taught public school for over twenty years, has been certified in curricula such as The Parent Project , Community of Caring, and Making the Peace. She currently facilitates parent, student, and staff development workshops, teaches communication improvement classes, provides individual consultations for families struggling in school or at home, and provides life coaching for teens and adults. Because Jody has worked intensively with marriage family therapists, local police departments, as well as the court systems,she is sensitive and understands the necessity of pursuing further help when/if needed.

Heart and Mind was created to help strengthen the family, staff, and students so better understanding and connection can be made to the local school system thus promoting success. We provide the tools and guidance needed to effectively connect parents, children, and schools integrating academics with love, passion, and support. Innovative workshops and personal consults provide opportunities to dive deeply awakening our purpose as parents, teachers, or students and utilizing immediate tools for improving difficult situations.
